Canopy River, River Expedition Adventure

Canopy River River Expedition Adventure is a great excursion to experience all the fun adventures that the company( Canopy River Adventures) has to offer. First of all, The bus ride up to Canopy River is a wonderful way to see the breathtaking beauty of Puerto Vallarta. The views of the pacific coastline, to the tops of the lush rain forests.

Our stay

Our stay at the Rui Jalisco All Inclusive Resort in Nuevo Vallarta was impressive. The hotel provided us with a choice of many excursions. Five of our seven-day stay was out on excursion adventures. With all that there is to explore while vacationing these wonderful destinations, sitting by the pool daily is not our cup of tea. Our choice for this day was the Canopy River, River Expedition. Canopy River is a well-established company with great credentials.

The journey

Our tour began being greeted at our hotel by a canopy bus, which was the mode of transportation for the trip. The canopy bus was open, therefore making the journey more exciting and enjoyable.  As we drove through the narrow cobblestone/dirt streets we could experience the locals in their environment. Kids and parents alike frolicked in the river while enjoying the views from the hillside looking down over the towns and the ocean landscapes.

Canopy River is one of the top attraction destinations in Puerto Vallarta. My hubby, son and I took part in the River Expedition.

River Expedition

Here at Canopy River you have the choice of Hiking, ATV, RZR, Ziplining, Sight-seeing, as well as the River Expedition. This is the package we chose, what a great choice. It includes a welcome Drink, 7 Ziplines, Rappeling with a Free Fall, Tarzan Lane, Hanging Bridges, 15 min Mule Ride,  River tubing and to end it all with  Tequila sampling. This excursion will run about $90 per person depending on packages you choose, with your Hotel provider.

Fun was an understatement.  Most noteworthy was how the guides laughed and joked with the group, as a result making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable with each other.

Pack a change of clothes because you will get wet. After a hot day in the sun, zip lining into a river pool was very refreshing. Continuing  down the river on a tube then back to trekking a bit too dry off. My son got to do the upside down Zipline with our guide, commenting  it was pretty cool and he felt completely safe doing so. This excursion was by far the most enjoyable I have had the chance to discover in Mexico.

In addition to a day in the jungle at Canopy River,  great Mexican food was enjoyed by all in the Restaurant, where you can enjoy your favorite beverage from the bar. A baby lizard decided to join us at the table. In these lush surrounding seems like a common occurrence to find reptiles roaming freely in and around local areas.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I give Canopy River a 10 out of 10. Planning with a reputable company is very comforting.
