How to clean your blow-dryer to prevent burn out and a longer life.

Did you know it is important to clean out the venting to your blow-dryer? Every dryer has a vent, some are hidden with a cover as this one is and some are not. This is similar to a furnace vent. If a furnace does not get cleaned out it may prevent it from performing at its peak or stop working and could possibly cause a fire. Same is with a blow-dryer. You may get a burning smell when you using. This is the air flow is not flowing through properly.

To clean: Pop open the vent cover. A pair of tweezers works best. Pull out all the build up between sections. It’s that easy. Some dryers may have a protective pad which you can rinse out and air dry and put back in.
