I love to garden, Tending a garden can be a lot of work. Back breaking labor at times. Have you ever thought of raised garden boxes? Raised gardens may be the best solution for bad backs.

It was a godsend for me. I have back-related health issues that had put my gardening day to an end, or so I thought. Our friend made a couple for his wife due to living on a small plot of land. He showed us his garden boxes he made. I said that is just what I need. We also now have a small lot and no room for a garden anyway but with this idea, I jumped at it. Please honey, I said, Could you make some for me. He agreed and got to work that next week.

What to use:  1×6 untreated fence board.

Cost: $40 each.

I used a light stain on the boards. I left the inside bare. I laid down 2 layers of newspaper on the bottom. Added top soil 2-4 ” from the top. Then I added miracle garden mix and a very small amount of chicken poop. 1 Cup per box and mixed it all together.

If I see my store bought veggies are wilting I cut them back and add them to a bowl of water root down. At the point when they are sprouting, I planted them in the garden as well. It is like planting only one seed but it is kinda neat to watch it grow. The end results, my garden is thriving. So much easier to pick weeds and thin out. The boxes stand about approx 45″  3.75ft high. Enjoy and watch your garden grow.9ead28b7-a078-454e-bad4-042c3d23274c
