Fairy Creek Falls Hike, Fernie BC

Fairy Creek Falls hike is a nice easy 4.5km trail to the falls. Along the way, people have hidden painted rocks which are fun to try and find. Look up and one may be hidden up in a tree hollow as seen in video. I think we saw like 5 throughout our hike. Please be sure to leave them for others to enjoy.

Fairy Creek Falls

Where is Fairy Creek Falls Hike?

The trailhead is found at the information center on the south end of Fernie BC. The information center is a great place to get more information on other hikes as well as has some cool taxidermy wildlife to view.

The trail is very doable and clear for the most part however near the falls there is a narrow rocky wet section to cross.

There is a loop trail that supposedly takes you to upper falls approx another km to the right of the falls.

At the falls there is a red and white spotted-colored mushroom house with a fairy top where one can leave a donation to support the conservation of this area.

The hike is a beautiful trek through lush forest.

Watch the Fairy Creek Falls video below.

There is so much to see and do in the Crowsnest pass Fernie area. I highly recommend a drive up to Island Lake if possible however it is not often open to the public. Check at the info center for info on it.

Happy Hiking:)
