Dandelion Ginger Peppermint Tea With Turmeric

This Dandelion, Ginger, Peppermint tea with turmeric elixir is high in anti-inflammatory and digestive health properties as well as many other benefits to help with chronic inflammation and digestive issues.

How to make Dandelion Elixer Tea

  • 2 C Dandelion, including root, leaves, and flowers. (stems optional)
  • 4 C Water
  • 1 1″x1″ smashed Ginger Root.
  • 1 Peppermint Teabag
  • 1/8 5 Spice Chinese Blend (Cinnamon, Annis star, Clove, Pepper, and Clove)
  • 1/8 Turmeric Spice or 1″ Smashed fresh root.

Rinse dandelion under cool water and remove all debris from root and leaves. Pat dry, chop and set aside. Use all of the dandelion however the stems can be bitter as well as the milky substance can act as a laxative. Some people who have sensitivity to daisies, chrysanthemums, marigolds as well as honey should not ingest dandelion as it can cause an allergic reaction.

In a saucepan bring 4 -5 cups of water to boil, reduce heat to low, add remaining ingredients and stir. Cover with lid and let steep for 2-3 hours stirring occasionally.

Let stand to cool slightly. Strain into the 1-liter jug using a liquid sifter (carefully not to add the bottom sediment)

Refrigerate. Drink 1-2 cups alone or with teaspoon of honey. Add to coffee or any beverage.

Yields approx. 1 liter.
