Delicious Jalapeno Jack Burger Pie Your Family Will Love

Looking for a new one-dish meal that your family will love? This delicious Jalapeno Jack Burger Pie will be sure to please. I have a son that is very fussy and trying something new usually isn’t in my favor. Once in a while, I find a sure-fire hit and tweak it to my liking. This is what I came up with. With all the ingredients of a burger all in one dish. You can’t have a burger without lettuce so adding spinach is the next best thing. Hell, I add spinach to everything. If you hide it then sometimes the picky eater who refuses veggies has to eat it.lol

Ingredients:

Meat Mixture

  • 2Ilbs Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves

Condiments

  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp BBQ Sause
  • 1/4 Cup Mayonaise
  • 1/4 Relish
  • 1 Tbsp mustard
  • 2 Lg Eggs
  • Salt/pepper and steak spice to taste

Toppings

  • 8-10 Slices of ready to use Bacon
  • 1 Lg Tomato
  • 8-10 Slices of Jalapeno Jack Cheese Slices
  • Spinach to your liking

Pastry Shell Bun

  •  4 Rolls of Puff Pastry or to fit a 9×13 pan

 

Directions:

Roll out pastry dough. Spread one sheet on the bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking pan.

In skillet brown meat. Dice up onion and garlic in an electric food chopper. Add to meat and cook until golden brown. Set aside and cool.

Add all condiments to the meat mixture and stir well. Spread mixture evenly to pasty bottom.

Next, Layer with slices of bacon, cheese, then slices of tomato and finish with spinach.

Top it off with the last pastry layer and fold edges in. You may brush with an egg white/water mix for a more golden top.

Cooking time:

Heat oven to 400*.

Cook for 25-30 min or until golden brown.

Slice in 5″ x 5″ squares. Serves approx 8-10.
