Rainy Creek Falls Hike, Mustang Hills Trail

Rainy Creek Falls Hike is a short .03 km trail to the falls. Head down HWY 66 past Elbow Falls. There is a large pull-out parking lot at the Mustang Hills Trailhead.

To access the falls walk through the grassy area and stay to the right. Mustang Hills trail heads left at the top of the creek bed. A tiny trail leads right and zig-zags down to the creek. It is quite steep but very doable however, poles definitely will help.

It is possible to access the top of the falls as well, just a bit of bushwacking to reach.

Rainy Creek Falls has been somewhat of a hidden gem although it has gained more notoriety recently. I believe we all have the right to share nature’s beauty in hopes that people will be respectful so that it can be shared and enjoyed by many in the future.

Although it is a short jaunt just off the HWY doesn’t mean it is safe from wildlife encounters. Remain vigilant at all times and don’t forget the important hiking essentials to remain safe.

Enjoy!!
